| It all started in a small laboratory in the historic center of the Italian city of Piacenza, in the late 1980s. Davide Groppi invented his first lamps and decided to use his own name to create the brand. Simplicity, lightness, emotion and creative invention are the fundamental components of each luminaire or lighting project. Over many years of experience, Davide Groppi has developed several products in collaboration with companies specializing in design, such as De Padova, Boffi, Paola Lenti and Christofle. There were also many international projects around the world, including the lighting of homes, shops and museums. The excellence of Davide Groppi’s work, recognized by the press, has received prestigious awards for his lighting creations, including the Edida Award in 2011 for the Sampei lamp, the Design Plus Award in 2014 for the Neuro lamp, as well as two awards at the 23rd edition of the ADI Compasso d’Oro Awards for Nulla and Sampei. |
